Data Retention Policy

How long PawDoc keeps each type of information, and when and how it is deleted or de-identified.

This policy explains how long PawDoc keeps your information. We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy, and then delete or de-identify it.

The periods below are PawDoc's current targets. [The operator should confirm final retention periods with counsel before launch], particularly statutory tax-record periods, which vary by country.

Deletion#

When you delete your account (see Account Deletion), we permanently remove your account and associated data from our active systems, and the data ages out of backups on the rolling schedule above. We may retain a limited set of records where the law requires it or where we have a lawful, disclosed reason (such as fraud prevention or tax compliance); any such records are minimized and protected.

De-identification#

Where we keep information for analytics or to improve the service, we use aggregated or de-identified data that does not identify you wherever practical.

Changes#

If we change our retention practices, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. Questions: privacy@pawdoc.app.
